Spectrum Kids In The Outdoors

A natural way to find themselves…

   Aug 15

Back to school snacks… Gluten free of course…

Ok…  You will find that I am always experimenting with new recipes and ways to make my own ingredients such as dairy free cheese etc….

I love cooking Gluten-Free & Dairy Free because I too feel better eating less gluten and dairy.

Now back to school for us is right here in our home, but I am a woman and a mom and therefore we go after their hearts by means of their bellies, right??  At least I do…  I get great pleasure out of making new yummy dishes…

Now for those of you that like a quick breakfast here is something that can be made ahead and it doesn’t just have to be for breakfast….

12 Lighter Homemade Pop Tarts

Now make note:  The link for the Pop Tarts below I have altered.  I use a separate recipe for the pastry which you will find directly underneath the link for the Pop Tarts so be sure to take a look at both for an amazing Gluten Free treat.

Best Pastry Dough Recipe Around

NOTE:  Cream cheese substitute can be found here http://www.tofutti.com/btcc.shtml and I also have a homemade recipe that I will have to dig out…  And for baking and cooking I use Nucoa Margarine…

You will find as we go forward here that I LOVE Nicole Hunn of  www.GlutenFreeOnAShoestring.com and Naomi Poe of  www.BetterBatter.org.  Hand in hand they offer the Gluten Free world amazing flour and amazing recipes….  Be sure to check them out.  For those of you that are affected or know someone affected by Autism be sure to tell them about the Financial Aid that is offered by Better Batter.  More information on this can be found at http://betterbatter.org/financial-aid.

Gluten Free Chewy Granola Bars

These are just a few of my favorite recipes…  Be sure to visit Nicole and Naomi and let them know that Spectrum Kids In The Outdoors sent you their way.  Enjoy the recipes and be sure to include your children when making them…  What a way to spend time together!!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. :) I just linked the gluten free snack ideas on 2 of my friend’s facebook pages. They both have gluten free diets for their children.
